If your information helps recover funds or prevent losses, you could earn a reward between  50,000 RWF and  20,000,000 RWF.

Rewards are paid securely through petty cash, Mobile Money or bank transfer, without ever revealing who you are. Frequently Asked Questions

Whistle-blowers having disclosed material information leading to a successful recovery of funds shall be rewarded, as follow:

  1. 10% of the total interests and/or penalties charged to offender no lesser than fifty thousand Rwandan francs (50,000 RwF) and not exceeding twenty million Rwandan francs (20,000,000 RwF) for each successful resolution of whistleblowing case; or

  2. 10% of the cost which would have been incurred no lesser than fifty thousand Rwandan francs (50,000 RwF) and not exceeding twenty million Rwandan francs (20,000,000 RwF) for each successful resolution of whistleblowing case.

  3. Payout of rewards above 10,000,000 RwF are subject the RSSB General Management approval.

Yes. RSSB strictly protects the confidentiality of all whistleblowers. Your identity is only accessible to authorized Anti-Fraud Unit staff and will never be disclosed without your consent. RSSB Whistleblower policy of 2022 also guarantees anonymity and prohibits the disclosure of a whistleblower’s identity. RSSB is legally required to safeguard your confidentiality. 

No. You do not need to provide evidence to report. If you have reasonable suspicion of fraud, corruption, misconduct, or any irregularity, you are encouraged to report it. Evidence is helpful but not mandatory investigators will work to verify the information you submit. 

Once your report is submitted, the process is as follows:

  1. All disclosures are received in secret and recorded by use of a code. The code shall correspond to the actual identity of the Informant and/or Whistle-blower.
  2. Without prejudice to existing provisions of relevant laws, all Officers involved in processing disclosures made through this Policy are bound by Non-Disclosure Agreements.
  3. RSSB endevours to provide juridical assistance to victimized Informants and/or Whistle-blower (by no fault of theirs) due to information disclosed in accordance with this Policy.

Yes. If you report anonymously, the system generates a unique tracking code. You can use this code to:

  1. Check the status of your report
  2. Receive updates
  3. Provide additional information all without disclosing your identity.
